Job summary

Nu-Pure Beverages, Australia's largest privately owned beverage manufacturer, seeks a Shift Technician for its Horsley Park facility. This permanent full-time role focuses on electrical fault finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will work a 12-hour rotating roster across day and night shifts, including weekends, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and collaborating with production teams and contractors to ensure reliable, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical fault-finding in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Trade-certified electrical discipline with safety focus.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Perform planned and preventive maintenance across the site.
• Maintain maintenance systems including work orders and schedules.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, PLC, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Coordinate contractors and support safe, compliant work practices.
• Uphold food safety and quality standards (HACCP & GMP).

About The Role

We are seeking an experiencedShift Technicianto join our Maintenance team at our Horsley Park facility.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this full-time permanent role plays a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our high-speed production equipment, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding, plant reliability, and operational performance.

Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you'll be responsible for fault finding, breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with production teams and contractors.

Work Pattern (Rotating Roster)

This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation and operates on a structured rotating 12-hour shift pattern across day and night shifts, including weekends:

• 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day Shift)
• 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night Shift)
• A consistent rotating roster

You must be able to commit to working day, night, and weekend shifts as part of this rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Operations

• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Deliver planned and preventative maintenance across the site
• Maintain maintenance systems including work orders and schedules
• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Work closely with production teams to support reliable operations

Technical & Continuous Improvement

• Diagnose and rectify faults across electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Drive continuous improvement to optimise plant performance
• Support operators with technical guidance to improve equipment use

Contractor Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate contractors, ensuring safe and compliant work practices

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to WHS requirements
• Ensure all work meets food safety and quality standards (HACCP & GMP)
• Identify and address unsafe conditions
• Participate in incident investigations and reporting

About You

• Current Electrical Licence highly regarded
• Trade-qualified in a relevant discipline
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Strong experience in preventative and scheduled maintenance systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and respond under pressure
• Strong collaboration skills with production teams and contractors
• Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
