Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations is seeking a Processing Shift Supervisor to lead a critical processing plant team, optimise throughput, and ensure safe, reliable outcomes across shifts. The role offers a seven-on/seven-off roster with both surface and underground exposure at Cowal.

Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, you will drive production, recovery targets and reagent efficiency while building team capability through coaching and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience within a large scale processing plant or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of processing operations and risk management.
• Experience with SCADA/DCS and maintenance or enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high performing team delivering production, recovery and safety targets.
• Drive operational efficiency by optimising throughput and circuit reliability.
• Support pastefill delivery to underground operations and improve site performance.
• Coach, mentor and drive continuous improvement within the team.

This is an opportunity to lead one of Cowal’s critical operational teams and make a direct impact on the performance of one of Australia’s premier gold processing operations. As our Processing Shift Supervisor, you’ll be at the centre of daily production, guiding people, optimising plant performance, and ensuring safe, reliable outcomes across every shift.

Working a lifestyle friendly 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster, you’ll enjoy extended time off while playing a key role in delivering safe, efficient processing performance that supports the long term success of Cowal’s operation through to 2043.

Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, you’ll:

• Lead a high performing team that consistently delivers production, recovery and safety targets.
• Drive operational efficiency by optimising plant throughput, circuit reliability and reagent consumption.
• Support the delivery of quality pastefill to underground operations, contributing to broader site performance.
• Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Does this sound like you?

• Proven supervisory experience within a large scale processing plant, gold operation or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of processing operations, equipment isolation practices and operational risk management.
• Experience using SCADA/DCS systems and maintenance or enterprise systems such as Pronto or SAP.
• Strong leadership, communication and team development capability.
• Current driver’s licence and the ability to work a rotating shift roster.

Desirable:

• Certificate III or IV in Frontline Management, Leadership or equivalent.
• Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Forklift, skid steer or front-end loader competencies.
