Job summary

Zeus Street Greek in Newcastle is seeking a confident Shift Supervisor to lead the team during busy shifts, coach staff, and uphold high standards of food quality and service. You will be a hands-on leader who motivates the team, manages day-to-day operations, and ensures safety, cleanliness and exceptional customer experience across all shift tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, QSR or retail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate team members.
• Sound understanding of food safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the team during your shift.
• Supervise team performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Ensure all food, service and safety standards are consistently met.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Support opening and closing procedures as required.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with basic inventory control.
• Assist with cash handling, POS procedures and basic reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding shift performance.
