Job summary

Lipa Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead our day shift on a permanent full-time basis. You will ensure safety and quality standards are upheld while meeting daily production requirements, coaching supervisors, and building a capable team of operators.

Ideal candidates will bring leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive hands-on approach to maintain GMP and SOP compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact on shift and escalate as needed.
• Participate in risk management under WH&S and QMS systems.
• Maintain production quality and meet daily targets.
• Ensure GMP and SOP compliance in production and packing.
• Manage and develop staff on the designated shift; monitor attendance and performance.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure QA records are completed.
• Coordinate shift handovers to the following shift and management team.
• Support coaching, development, and performance management with the Manufacturing Manager, HR and Training teams.
• Lead CI initiatives to deliver priority process improvements.

The Opportunity

We currently have a rare opportunity available for an experienced Shift Manager to join our dedicated day shift team on a permanent full-time basis. As a key member of the manufacturing leadership team, you will ensure safety and quality standards are front of mind and adhered to whilst meeting day to day production requirements. The successful candidate will have previous leadership experience supporting team leaders and supervisors providing coaching and development across the site as you build a team of skilled operators.

This role would suit someone with previous leadership experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a proactive hands-on approach ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met

Responsibilities

• The primary point of contact, escalation during the shift.
• Participate in risk management process as outlined in the company’s WH&S and QMS systems
• Maintain production quality and output to specified standards and daily targets
• Ensure products are produced and packed in accordance GMP & SOP’s
• Manage all staff working on the designated shift, including performance and time & attendance
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained
• Monitor and ensure all QA records are completed as required
• Provide efficient shift exchange to the following shift and management team
• Working with the Manufacturing Manager, HR and Training Department, support team leader to provide ongoing coaching, development and performance management across production.
• Deliver improvements on process through leading CI circles on your shift and delivering on pre agreed priority improvement areas.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience
• Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/pharmaceutical/FMCG industry would be highly regarded
• Enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high-quality outputs
• Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
