Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our Rigs and Wells Services team in Toowoomba. This casual, ongoing role involves after a handover day in the office with your counterpart and then driving to remote sites to support operations and uphold high safety standards.

You will mentor crews, identify hazards, and implement practical controls while maintaining a safety-first culture. The role offers a balanced roster and strong safety track record, with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Qualifications and solid SHEQ Advisor experience in high-risk industries.
• Experience conducting ICAM or similar incident investigations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid knowledge of safety risk management and control processes.
• High attention to detail with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Good computer literacy and process implementation experience.
• Confident written and verbal communicator.

Responsibilities

• Onsite safety oversight: implement and monitor the Health and Safety Management System across operations.
• Lead and conduct incident investigations (ICAM) to determine root causes and drive improvements.
• Identify hazards and recommend practical risk controls.
• Mentor and support onsite crews to maintain high safety standards.
• Adapt to changing priorities and be available for remote site calls on short notice.
