SRSC Payroll Services Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time sheet metal trades worker to join our manufacturing team. The role involves interpreting drawings, operating metalworking machinery, fabricating custom sheet metal parts, and ensuring high-quality finishes.

Applicants should have a trade qualification in sheet metal or metal fabrication and at least one year of experience. A strong safety record and independence in work are preferred. Salary is competitive and based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and drawings to determine specifications.
• Operate metal folding, bending, and shaping machinery safely.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products to client specs.
• Repair and restore damaged sheet metal components.
• Drill holes and rivet connections.
• Form flashings and profiles per orders.
• Conduct quality checks against design standards.
• Follow WHS guidelines and keep workshop clean.

Benefits Competitive salary package (based on experience) Safe, well-equipped, and supportive manufacturing environment Task & responsibilities Reviewing and interpreting work orders and technical drawings to determine order specifications Operating metal folding, bending, and shaping machinery safely and efficiently Fabricating and assembling high-quality custom sheet metal products Repairing and restoring damaged sheet metal parts and structural components Drilling holes and inserting rivets to connect the metal plates Forming and folding custom flashings and metal profiles according to client orders Shaping and forming cut metal stock using press brakes, rollers, panbrake folders, and hammers Conducting thorough quality checks to ensure finished components meet strict design standards Adhering to workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures while maintaining a clean and structured workshop Qualification & experience Trade Qualification in Sheet Metal or Metal Fabrication preferred Have at least one year of experience within a sheet metal manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail Experience operating sheet metal machinery Proficient with hand/power tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety and quality Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work About Company We, Steel Roofing Supply Centre, are a proud Australian manufacturer and supplier of premium steel roofing products.
