Job summary

CrewSELECT is recruiting on behalf of an architectural metalwork business with a workshop based in Deception Bay, QLD. You will weld and fabricate thin gauge metalwork such as balustrades, handrails, screens, battens, gates and fencing, with a focus on neat, quality welds.

Join a busy workshop in Deception Bay offering immediate start and potential ongoing work leading to permanent full-time employment for the right candidate. Prior thin gauge welding experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience welding thin gauge metal.
• Ability to read and fabricate from drawings.
• Attention to neat, presentable welds and finish.

CrewSELECT is recruiting on behalf of an architectural metalwork business with a workshop based in Deception Bay, QLD, and a growing pipeline of projects heading into Christmas and the New Year.

We’re looking for a capable welder who takes pride in clean welds, accurate fabrication and a quality finish.

The work

You’ll weld and fabricate thin gauge architectural metalwork, including balustrades, handrails, screens, battens, gates, fencing and custom features. Duties include:

• Working with aluminium, stainless steel and other project materials
• Reading drawings and fabricating accurately to specification
• Producing neat, consistent welds with a strong focus on presentation
• Working alongside the team to meet deadlines and quality standards

What you’ll bring

• Proven thin gauge welding experience - essential
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your finished work
• Ability to follow drawings and work independently
• Reliability and the ability to contribute to a busy workshop

Second class welders are encouraged to apply. You don't need a formal welding certificate, but you do need the hands-on experience to deliver quality work.
