Job summary

Kotzur Pty Ltd in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal/Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. Based at our Toowoomba plant, you will operate brake presses, guillotines and sheet metal folders and contribute to producing components to specification.

You will read drawings, select dies and tooling, maintain a safe workspace, and work efficiently in a fast-paced factory environment. This is a permanent full-time role with a Monday-Thursday and Friday half-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Have either a trade qualification or relevant sheet metal or assembly experience.
• Previous experience operating a press brake or working in metal fabrication/steel processing. Further training is available.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and use standard measuring tools.
• High attention to detail, strong mechanical reasoning and good spatial awareness.
• Reliable, punctual, physically fit and able to work well in a fast-paced factory environment.
• Commit to safety standards and comply with WHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake presses, guillotines and sheet metal folders in a team.
• Select, position and align dies and tooling correctly.
• Folding and forming steel and aluminium.

KOTZUR Pty Ltd is a progressive engineering/fabrication business with employees based in Toowoomba QLD and Walla Walla NSW. This role is based in Charlton (Toowoomba).

We are a specialist manufacturer of Silos and mechanical handling equipment for the agricultural, industrial and mineral resource industries.

With clients from all over Australia and overseas, we specialise in the provision of storage and handling facilities for bulk solids.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 6.00am-2.30pm Monday - Thursday, 6.00am-12.00pm Friday.

Enjoy a half day Friday.
