Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking two Sewerage Pump Stations Attendants to operate, maintain and repair sewage pumping stations across the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA. The role requires WHS compliance, a White Card, and a current HR licence, with an expectation to participate in an after-hours on-call roster.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to respond to chokes, overflows and emergencies, while monitoring performance via SCADA and Water Outlook systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in operation, maintenance and repair of pumping/civil infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and related legislation.

Responsabilités

• Operate, maintain and repair Council’s sewage pumping stations and odour management systems.
• Respond to sewer chokes, overflow events and operational emergencies.
• Monitor network performance and respond to alarms using SCADA and Water Outlook.
• Undertake sewage quality sampling, odour monitoring and planned/reactive activities.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster and overtime as required.
