Job summary

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress invites applications for a Full-time Community Wellbeing Support Worker to deliver community-led SEWB services in the Northern Territory. The role focuses on promoting service linkages, bicultural pairing with SEWB colleagues, and advocacy to support clients attending appointments.

You will be supported to pursue a Certificate III in Allied Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Community Services, or Mental Health, with study opportunities during work.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal descent and community acceptance required.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in Aboriginal health and primary health care.
• Maintain confidentiality in health settings and show cultural sensitivity.
• Proficient in health database entry and basic computer tasks.
• Willingness to study Certificate III in relevant fields.
• Current C class NT Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of SEWB services and promote service linkages.
• Provide client follow-ups and healthcare advocacy.
• Assist in bicultural pairing with SEWB workers.
• Support attendance at SEWB appointments; no individual case management.
