Job summary

Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative Ltd in Warrnambool, Victoria, is seeking a SEWB Case Worker to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients within culturally safe, trauma-informed care.

Two roles available (Youth and Adult) across the SEWB program, focusing on assessments, care planning, advocacy, and group sessions, with a commitment to self-determination and holistic wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander with strong cultural connections.
• Understanding of the SEWB Framework and Balit Murrup in practice.
• Formal qualification or substantial experience with client support services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify social and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement individualised case plans with clients.
• Provide ongoing support and advocacy for clients and access to services.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needs change.
• Facilitate group sessions and wellbeing workshops.
• Maintain confidential case records per policy and law.
• Collaborate with professionals and community organisations.
