Job summary

Kapitol is seeking an experienced Services Manager to support a major Data Centre fitout on a 12-month contract. You will lead the delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and Controls services in a live environment, coordinating consultants, subcontractors and client stakeholders to ensure on-time completion.

Focused on safety, quality and programme, you will oversee design, procurement, installation and commissioning, reporting progress and risks to the project leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Services Manager or Senior Services Engineer in commercial construction.
• Strong coordination across electrical, mechanical, fire and controls disciplines.
• Experience delivering complex building services in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and Controls services packages.
• Manage services installation within a live Data Centre environment with careful sequencing.
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, project teams and client stakeholders.
• Oversee installation of critical plant and equipment including lifting, access and logistics.
• Manage services design, procurement, installation and interface requirements across disciplines.
• Drive programming and identify clashes, sequencing issues and risks early.
• Monitor subcontractor performance across safety, quality, programme and technical requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, defect resolution and handover activities.
• Provide clear reporting on services progress, risks and milestones to project leadership.

We’re looking for an experienced Services Manager to join us on a 12-month contract, supporting the delivery of a major Data Centre fitout project. Working within a live environment, you’ll lead the coordination and delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and Controls infrastructure, including the installation of critical heavy plant and equipment.

• Lead the coordination and delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and Controls services packages
• Manage services installation within a live Data Centre environment, ensuring works are carefully planned and sequenced
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, project teams and client stakeholders throughout delivery
• Oversee the installation of critical plant and equipment, including associated lifting, access and logistics requirements
• Manage services design, procurement, installation and interface requirements across disciplines
• Drive services programming and identify potential clashes, sequencing issues and delivery risks early
• Monitor subcontractor performance across safety, quality, programme and technical requirements
• Support testing, commissioning, defect resolution and handover activities
• Provide clear reporting on services progress, risks and key milestones to project leadership

Foundation for your success in the role

• Strong experience as a Services Manager, Senior Services Engineer or similar within commercial construction
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex building services packages across Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and/or Controls
• Data Centre, critical infrastructure or other live operational environment experience highly regarded
• Experience coordinating heavy plant and critical equipment installation
• Strong understanding of services design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning
• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders on large, technically complex projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills across consultants, subcontractors, clients and project teams
• Confident managing programme, interfaces, risk and competing priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment
• Relevant Engineering qualification or equivalent trade background highly regarded
