Job summary

Aidacare Pty Ltd in Hervey Bay is seeking a Service Technician to carry out maintenance, repairs and testing of healthcare equipment including beds, hoists, wheelchairs and scooters. The role is full-time and on-site, reporting to the Branch Manager.

You will troubleshoot, complete repairs with top customer service, maintain service records, keep equipment and vehicle in good condition, and stay up to date with product features to ensure seamless repairs.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or service technician background preferred.
• Strong problem-solving aligned to customer needs.
• Good communication and professional customer service.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and admin skills.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete repairs and servicing with high skill and customer service.
• Prepare clear, accurate service records.
• Maintain servicing equipment and company vehicle in good condition and manage inventory.
• Become an expert on products and stay updated to deliver seamless repairs.
• Ensure safety and integrity of serviced products per Australian Standards and policy.

About The Role

In this key role, you would carry out necessary maintenance, repairs and testing of our healthcare equipment. This equipment would include beds, patient hoists, wheelchairs, motorised scooters and a wide range of medical equipment and health aids.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Preference for a Mechanical or Service Technician background or field experience within the healthcare or service-related sector.
• Strong problem solving to customer’s needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Ability to deliver a high level of communication and professional customer service
• The ability to work independently with strong time management, punctuality and admin skillset
• Current and valid Driver’s License and willing to travel to meet client requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete repairs and servicing with the highest level of skill and customer service
• Preparing clear, accurate and concise service records
• Maintaining servicing equipment and the company vehicle in a good condition, ensuring inventory is adequate
• Become an expert on our products, staying up-to-date with new features and offerings and using this knowledge to deliver seamless repairs
• Maintain the safety and integrity of all serviced products in accordance with Australian Standards and Company Policy
