Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Service Technician to support field-based service, maintenance and installation for industrial roller shutters and entrance solutions in Gosford, NSW. You will diagnose, repair and install equipment, perform safety inspections and work closely with technical support and sales teams to deliver exceptional service.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, fabrication experience, a valid Australian driver license and the ability to work independently in

Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication, sheet metal or welding.
• Electrical qualifications would be highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with industrial machinery or equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work under pressure.
• Proactive safety mindset and independent field work capability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Service Technician, you'll be the face of ASSA ABLOY in the field, providing expert service, maintenance and installation support for industrial roller shutters and entrance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Planned and preventative maintenance of industrial doors and entrance systems
• Diagnosis, repair and servicing of equipment in the field
• Installation and commissioning of industrial roller shutters
• Conducting safety inspections to national and local standards
• Identifying and recommending repair and upgrade opportunities
• Working closely with technical support and sales teams
• Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster
• Building strong customer relationships through professional service delivery

About you

• Fabrication, sheet metal or welding experience
• Practical electrical experience/electrical qualifications (highly desirable)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Experience working with industrial machinery or equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressureA proactive and safety-focused mindset
• Confidence working independently in the field
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Forklift and Scissor Lift licences (desirable)
• Comfortable working at heights
