Job summary

Visy is seeking a Service Technician to join our field service team, based out of Gibson Island. You will repair, service and maintain mobile machinery across Visy sites, with a focus on forklifts, EWPs and other mobile plant equipment.

This role involves fault finding, attending breakdowns and completing scheduled maintenance, while recording jobs and parts. You will work autonomously, comply with safety policies, and support Visy’s commitment to reliable, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Diesel/Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with forklifts, EWPs or mobile plant equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a service role.
• Current driver’s licence is essential.
• Reliable, well-organised and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and service mobile machinery across Visy sites.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics tasks.
• Attend to machinery breakdowns and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Record completed jobs and parts used for inventory accuracy.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Service Technician to join our growing service team, based out of Gibson Island. This role involves field-based maintenance, servicing and repairs across forklifts, loaders, EWPs and mobile plant equipment at Visy sites.

• Shift Details: Monday to Friday (8hrs) + OT
• Vehicle + phone supplied

What You'll Do

• Repair, maintain and service our mobile machinery across our Brisbane and Gold Coast sites.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics tasks.
• Attend to machinery breakdowns and completing scheduled maintenance.
• Recording jobs completed and parts consumed, to ensure accurate inventory.
• Ensuring all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are complied with.

What You Will Bring

• Trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic or similar)
• Hands‑on experience with forklifts, EWPs and/or mobile plant equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a service role
• Current driver’s licence (essential)
• Reliable, well‑organised and customer focused
