Job summary

Rauland is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Services team in Australia. Reporting to the Territory Service Manager, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive service across customer sites to ensure reliable healthcare technology solutions.

You will deliver field‑based service, combine technical expertise with strong customer engagement, and support system upgrades and changes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Relevant trade qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Communications or similar discipline (desirable)
  • Open Cabling Licence or willingness to obtain one (company funded)
  • Current Driver's Licence and ability to drive unrestricted
  • Blue / White Card (General Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one (company funded)
  • Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology, or willingness to obtain (company funded)
  • Ability to meet customer site access requirements, including vaccinations, PPE or security requirements where applicable
  • Willingness to participate in an on‑call roster from time to time

Responsibilities

  • Deliver preventative maintenance, reactive service and minor works activities across customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults to minimise system downtime and maintain service continuity
  • Complete inspections and preventative maintenance activities, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
  • Perform minor installation, replacement and upgrade works safely and effectively
  • Support customer system modifications, upgrades and change activities
  • Maintain accurate service records, job documentation and parts usage through mobile applications and service systems
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with customer, company and WHS requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers and vendors to deliver service outcomes efficiently
  • Maintain tools, equipment and inventory to ensure operational readiness
  • Provide professional, customer‑focused communication during all site interactions

Job description

We're looking for a hands‑on and customer‑focused Service Technician to join our Services team.

Reporting to the Territory Service Manager you'll play a critical role in ensuring Rauland's communication and healthcare technology solutions remain reliable, safe and operational for our customers. You'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, reactive service and minor works across customer sites, delivering high-quality technical outcomes and exceptional customer service.

You'll be responsible for delivering field‑based service and maintenance activities across customer environments, ensuring systems remain operational and service commitments are achieved. From preventative maintenance through to fault finding, repairs and minor upgrades, you'll combine technical expertise with strong customer engagement to deliver reliable outcomes every day.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting communication systems, electronics or related technologies
  • Experience delivering preventative and reactive maintenance within customer environments
  • Exposure to installation or minor works activities
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Customer‑focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, applications and job management systems
