Job summary

Adaptalift Group is seeking an Auto Mechanic who can upskill to a Forklift Mechanic. After completing training in our Welshpool workshop, you will start in the field assisting customer sites with breakdowns and servicing of materials handling equipment. This perm role offers a modern van and ongoing product training, with Mon-Fri 7.30-3.30pm, delivering variety across brands and sites while building a long-term career in a safety‑first team.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing mechanical equipment or automotive vehicles.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Current Driver Licence and full working rights in Australia.
• Mechanical Trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• After training in our Welshpool workshop, you will work in the field assisting customer sites with breakdowns and servicing of materials handling equipment.
• Support diverse brands and sites across different customer environments.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance and on-site repairs as part of a supportive team.

We now have a rare opportunity for an Auto Mechanic to upskill to a Forklift Mechanic, as part of a growth industry.

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-day

After completion of your training in our workshop at Welshpool, you will be in the field, assisting a wide range of customer sites (from large retailers to paint manufacturers!) with breakdowns and general servicing of their materials handling equipment.
