Job summary

1 Service Group Pty Ltd in Castle Hill, Sydney NSW, is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead the fire, hydraulic and mechanical services division. You will own day-to-day operations, plan resources, and coordinate both planned maintenance and reactive works, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage technicians and supervisors, liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers, and drive service delivery across major infrastructure

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Service Manager or similar role.
• Experience within fire protection, hydraulic/plumbing, mechanical/HVAC or related building services.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department.
• Coordinate planned maintenance, reactive service, breakdowns and minor works.
• Manage and support field technicians and supervisors.
• Plan labour and resources for day, night and shutdown works.
• Monitor workloads, productivity, overtime and progress.
• Brief and prepare technicians before attending works.
• Review service reports and field documentation for invoicing.
• Coordinate quotations and rectification for defects.
• Provide first-line technical and operational support to field staff.
• Liaise with clients regarding scheduling, progress and issues.
• Coordinate specialist subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
