Job summary

MTP Services in Australia is seeking a hands-on ServiceNow Developer to deliver development, configuration and platform enhancements across the environment. You will implement workflows, catalog items and custom tables, while troubleshooting JavaScript, Glide APIs and Business Rules to support Incident, Request and Change Management processes.

You will also review an existing integration, provide recommendations for implementation, and share knowledge with the internal ServiceNow Administrator

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver ServiceNow development, configuration and platform enhancements.
• Develop and troubleshoot workflows and automation using Flow Designer.
• Configure scheduled automation and recurring task logic.
• Investigate and resolve notification behaviour within ServiceNow flows.
• Develop and maintain Service Catalog items and custom tables.
• Develop and troubleshoot JavaScript, Glide APIs and Business Rules.
• Support Incident, Request and Change Management processes and workflows.
• Configure and enhance Change Management approval and risk assessment logic.
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow Global Search functionality.
• Review Service Catalog navigation and Mega Menu design against platform best practice.
• Configure business duration calculations across RITM, Change and Incident using multiple schedules.
• Provide technical guidance regarding Virtual Agent, Now Assist and AI-enabled chat capabilities using existing knowledge content.

Role Description

The role will be responsible for delivering ServiceNow development and enhancement activities, resolving platform issues and providing technical guidance across the environment. The successful candidate will also undertake a technical review of an existing integration, with the potential to support subsequent implementation activities.

This is a hands-on development role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to provide practical advice on platform design, configuration and best practice. Working closely with the internal ServiceNow Administrator, you will also support knowledge transfer and help strengthen internal ServiceNow capability.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Flow Designer and ServiceNow automation.
• Strong JavaScript, Glide API and Business Rules experience.
• Strong Service Catalog development and configuration experience.
• Sound knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, particularly Incident, Request and Change Management.
• Experience configuring and maintaining ServiceNow search functionality.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability within established ServiceNow environments.
• Experience with IntegrationHub and API integrations will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to Virtual Agent and/or Now Assist will be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
• Ability to assess requirements and recommend appropriate ServiceNow design and configuration approaches in line with platform best practice.
