KC Equipment is seeking a Service Manager – Agriculture to lead day-to-day workshop coordination, support technicians and oversee jobs from booking to completion.

This hands-on leadership role blends workshop management with practical mechanical work, including field service and customer breakdowns when required. You’ll guide engineers, liaise with customers and collaborate with Sales and Parts teams across Queensland.

Qualifications

• Qualification as a Diesel or Plant Mechanic with relevant experience.
• Previous workshop leadership or supervisory experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of workshop operations, planning and workflow coordination.
• Ability to lead, support and guide technicians and apprentices.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.

KC Equipment is seeking a Service Manager – Agriculture to lead the day-to-day coordination of our workshop, support our technicians and help keep jobs running smoothly from booking through to completion.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining workshop coordination and team support with practical mechanical work. You’ll oversee workflow and job priorities, provide technical guidance, liaise with customers and work closely with our Sales and Parts teams. You’ll also remain involved in servicing, repairs and diagnostics, including field service and customer breakdowns when required.

You’ll work with leading agricultural and turf equipment brands, including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Iseki, Kioti, Deutz and Cub Cadet.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily workshop workflow, job allocation and priorities to keep work progressing efficiently.

Monitor job progress, timeframes and job documentation.

Coordinate servicing, repairs, diagnostics, warranty work and pre-delivery inspections.

Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and apprentices.

Work closely with customers, Sales and Parts to coordinate jobs and keep communication clear.

Carry out mechanical work and assist with field service and customer breakdowns when required.

Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised workshop.

Promote safe work practices, quality workmanship and accountability across the team.

What You'll Bring

A qualification as a Diesel or Plant Mechanic, with experience in agricultural, heavy plant, turf or similar machinery highly regarded.

Previous workshop leadership or supervisory experience is essential.

A sound understanding of workshop operations, job planning and workflow coordination.

The ability to lead, support and guide technicians and apprentices.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Confident communication skills and a practical, team‑focused approach.

A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and professional customer service.

A current C Class Driver Licence and satisfactory driving record.

A current Forklift Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
