About the role

We are seeking a Service Manager to join our team at our Smithfield SA location on a full-time basis. As Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our service operations, ensuring that all customer installations, maintenance, and support activities are delivered to the highest standards. This position is essential to maintaining client satisfaction, optimising our service delivery, and driving the growth of our service division.

You will manage a team of technicians, manage service contracts, quote repairs and be in charge of ordering the parts and scheduling the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day service operations, including maintenance, and repair work
• Supervise and coordinate a team of service technicians
• Schedule service calls and allocate resources to ensure timely and efficient job completion
• Manage service contracts and ensure all work is completed in accordance with client agreements and specifications
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including job reports and client communications
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and identify opportunities for additional services
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices
• Monitor equipment and inventory levels, ordering replacement parts and materials as needed
• Prepare service reports and provide management with regular updates on operational performance and metrics

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a service management or supervisory role within the trades, technician, or industrial services sector
• Knowledge of dust and fume extraction systems, ventilation equipment, or similar mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians or skilled tradespeople
• Excellent organisational and scheduling skills
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
• Problem-solving ability and technical troubleshooting skills
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in ventilation systems, mechanical services, or a related field would be advantageous
• Experience with budgeting, cost management, and commercial awareness
