Job summary

Cabrini Technology Group, via its Chemtronics Biomedical Engineering unit, seeks a Service Engineer for the Mackay region to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electro-medical and gas therapy equipment.

The role requires hands-on repair experience in medical/electronic/electrical devices, a Queensland electrical licence, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Salary packaging benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on repair of medical/electronic/electrical equipment mandatory.
• Experience with gas therapy equipment highly regarded; training provided when needed.
• Tertiary, technical or trade qualification in Electronic, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair medical/electronic/electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensure contract obligations and Australian Standards are met.

Chemtronics Biomedical Engineering, part of Cabrini Technology Group, currently has a vacancy for a Service Engineer to join its Queensland team, based in the Mackay area. The successful applicant will use his/her skills to troubleshoot, repair and perform scheduled maintenance on a range of electro-medical and gas therapy equipment.

The successful applicant will possess the necessary skills to diagnose and repair faulty electronic equipment.

Responsibilities include the minimisation of operational downtime through preventative maintenance and servicing; and working to ensure the contractual obligations and relevant Australian Standards are met.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous hands-on experience in repair and service of medical/electronic/electrical equipment is mandatory.


• Experience with gas therapy equipment will be very highly regarded, but training will be provided where necessary.


• Tertiary, technical or trade qualification in an Electronic, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering discipline;


• A current Queensland restricted electrical licence or the ability to qualify for one is essential;


• Strong PC and MS Office literacy; ability to enter work performed into a database in a timely manner;


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;


• Self-motivation and a commitment to continuous improvement;


• An organised and pro-active approach to work;


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well, with minimal supervision.


• A current non-restricted QLD driver's licence;
