Job summary

Crossmuller is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our Maintenance team in Somersby. You will lead day-to-day maintenance activities and coordinate schedules, labour, and resources across site and field works to meet SLAs and client needs.

The role requires dual trade qualifications (electrical/mechanical) or strong electrical trade with mechanical experience, plus hands-on safety focus and superb communication. Join a growing, Australian-owned company committed to quality and delivery.

• Experience leading or coordinating a maintenance team in industrial/project environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Hands-on, safety‑first approach focused on quality and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team's day-to-day activities across site and field-based works.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, labour, and resources to meet service level agreements and client requirements.
• Support electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repair activities as required.
• Interpret drawings, plans and specifications to ensure accurate maintenance and repair work.
• Mentor and develop tradespeople and apprentices within the team.
• Manage rostering, timekeeping and workforce allocation to optimise response and productivity.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, servicing and equipment with the project delivery team and clients.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety and quality.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all activities.

Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

We are currently seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team located in Somersby. You will coordinate a maintenance team that sits within our project delivery team, ensuring maintenance and service works for automation machinery and equipment are planned, resourced and delivered to a high standard while supporting broader project outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team's day-to-day activities across site and field-based works
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, labour, and resources to meet service level agreements and client requirements
• Remain hands-on, supporting electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair activities as required
• Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate maintenance and repair work
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tradespeople and apprentices within the maintenance team, ensuring high performance and ongoing skill development
• Manage rostering, timekeeping, and workforce allocation to optimise maintenance response and productivity
• Liaise with the project delivery team and clients to coordinate maintenance, repairs, servicing, and equipment requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency, safety, and quality
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all maintenance and project activities

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Dual trade qualification (electrical/mechanical) highly regarded; alternatively, an electrical trade qualification with strong mechanical experience
• Proven experience leading or coordinating a maintenance team in an industrial or project environment
• Strong technical capability, including the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and work fronts
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and delivery outcomes

This is a full-time permanent position within our Maintenance team, which sits within our broader Projects Delivery team. To be successful in this role you must be motivated and be willing to put in the effort required to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.
