Job summary

Crossmuller is seeking a Dry Fire Technician to join our Somersby team. You will inspect, test, service, fault-find and maintain dry fire systems across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.

You will work closely with service and project teams, complete test reports, and be prepared for after-hours breakdowns. A current Australian driver’s license, White Card and relevant fire industry qualifications are required or desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dry Fire Technician.
• Sound knowledge of fire detection and EWIS systems.
• Experience with leading fire brands such as Notifier, Pertronic, Ampac, Tyco, Siemens, Honeywell.
• Current Australian Driver’s License.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Relevant fire industry qualifications and accreditations (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection, testing and maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, EWIS, Smoke Detection Systems, Aspirating Detection Systems, and Occupant Warning Systems.
• Fault finding and repairs on fire systems.
• Commissioning and programming of fire panels and associated equipment.
• Completion of test reports and service documentation.
• Liaising with clients regarding maintenance requirements and system defects.
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and legislative requirements.
• Participating in after-hours breakdown and emergency call-out work as required.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dry Fire Technician to join our growing team and help deliver high-quality fire protection services to our clients.

As a Dry Fire Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, fault finding, and maintenance of dry fire systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites. You will work closely with our service and project teams to ensure all systems remain compliant, operational, and meet relevant Australian Standards and client requirements.
