Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps and water/wastewater equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with Senior Service Technicians for on-site repairs as needed.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
• Support the wider team to ensure smooth operation of the business.

This is full-time Pump Workshop Service Technician role with XYLEM in Mount Isa is an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of water solutions.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps and other water and wastewater equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and resolve problems
• Occasionally work with Senior Service Technicians for on-site repair and service as and when needed
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth operation of the business

What we're looking for:

• Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
• Proven mechanical aptitude and ideally you will possess relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or other relevant trade qualifications, electrical desired
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A valid driver's licence
