Job summary

Welcome in Sydney is seeking an SEO Specialist to own strategy and execution across a premium client portfolio, collaborating with in‑house content, design and engineering teams to grow organic performance. You’ll shape on‑page and technical SEO while embracing AI‑driven search trends and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a dedicated SEO role, preferably within an agency.
• Hands‑on experience with Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GA4 and Google Search Console.
• Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, structured data and technical site architecture.
• Proven ability to build and execute keyword and content strategies that drive measurable organic growth.
• Experience identifying off‑page opportunities and building backlink strategies that actually work.
• Awareness of AI tools for SEO: content generation, briefing tools, automation or AI‑powered analytics.
• Clear communicator who translates technical findings into client recommendations.
• Commercially minded — tie organic performance to traffic and revenue.
• Agency experience preferred — manage multiple clients and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough technical SEO audits and drive remediation across client sites.
• Own on‑page optimisation — content architecture, meta strategy, heading hierarchy and internal linking.
• Monitor site health continuously and flag issues before they become problems.
• Build keyword and content strategies informed by genuine search intent analysis.
• Manage domain authority growth through smart link acquisition and digital PR thinking.
• Integrate AI tools into your SEO workflow — content briefing, keyword clustering, competitor analysis and reporting.
• Stay sharp on AI Overviews, SGE and how generative search is reshaping organic visibility.
• Collaborate with our in‑house copywriters, designers and technical engineering team on SEO‑informed work.
• Partner with our web and dev teams on site speed, Core Web Vitals and UX — technical wins we can ship.
• Set up and manage reporting across GA4, Google Search Console and rank tracking platforms.
• Report on performance with clear, client‑ready insights and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate across all 10 disciplines to create integrated, award‑worthy work that delivers on our clients’ strategies
