Job description

Andi-Co Australia is a family-owned importer and distributer of premium European and soon to be US appliances for household and professional applications across Australia, since 1982.

Providing Australia with Falcon and AGA range cookers from the UK, custom-made La Cornue range cookers from France, Novy induction cooktops from Belgium and Liebherr refrigeration (residential and professional) from Germany, we provide top of the range appliances and service to our customers. And have new brands from the US launching soon.

To support our strategic growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Workshop and Technical Supervisor to join our passionate and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity, and one that will play a key role in recovering value from returned stock and lifting technical capability across our national service network.

About the Role:

As ourWorkshop and Technical Supervisor, you'll run our returns workshop and be the go-to technical expert across the business. That means diagnosing, testing and repairing returned units so they can be resold, keeping the workshop moving every day, and making sure our returns process is followed from start to finish. You'll work closely with our Chief Operating Officer, Customer Experience, Product, Demand Planning and Warehouse teams, as well as our national network of service agents — turning technical know-how into recovered revenue, faster resolutions and better-trained teams.

This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable diagnosing a fault on the workshop bench and training a room full of service agents ahead of a new product launch.

Responsibilities:

Workshop & Returns Management

  • Lead the returns workshop day to day, ensuring units are received, triaged, tested and repaired in line with our returns process, with a 24-hour turnaround
  • Plan workshop resourcing and manage labour to cover repair peaks and troughs, including planned leave
  • Inspect and approve repaired units for resale as B-stock, using our approved quality checklist
  • Manage spare parts usage within budget, working with Demand Planning to keep parts and accessories in stock

Technical Leadership & Escalation

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex enquiries from customers, retailers, Account Managers and service agents
  • Provide technical direction to our Product and After Sales Service teams on servicing, maintenance and product improvement
  • Coordinate rework programs with the Chief Operating Officer, Technical Support Coordinator and our suppliers
  • Partner with the Customer Experience Manager to keep open technical support jobs moving to a timely resolution

Training & Capability

  • Lead technical training for internal teams — sales, sales support, customer service and field technicians
  • Deliver technical training to service agents nationally, especially ahead of new product launches
  • Guide and support workshop technical contractors, making sure weekly repair targets are met
  • Report weekly on repairs, write-offs and parts usage, and help consolidate monthly supplier claims
  • Analyse workshop data to measure how well our returns and warranty processes are working, flagging issues early
  • Drive improvements across the workshop and returns process using Lean principles

What we’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar technical role
  • Proven experience in a technical management role within the appliance industry
  • Licence in Electrical, Plumbing and/or Gas Fitting
  • Proven track record leading technical teams and driving product improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making
  • A leader who inspires and motivates teams to deliver great results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence delivering training
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise competing demands
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with Pronto or a similar ERP system highly regarded
  • Willingness to travel as needed to engage with service agents

Why Join Andi-Co?

  • Key role reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, with real influence over how we manage returns and technical support
  • Work hands-on with world-class brands including Liebherr, Falcon, La Cornue, AGA and Novy — and be first across new products before they launch
  • A collaborative, values-driven team that backs continuous improvement and innovation
  • Oakleigh-based with on-site presence — well-equipped workshop, close-knit culture

Our Mission & Values:

Our mission is People First, Evolving Always, brought to life through our values of Curiosity, Trust and Unity. It’s this mindset that shapes how we work together and look after our employees, customers and suppliers every day.

If you're a hands-on technical leader who loves solving complex problems, sharing your knowledge and finding better ways of working — we'd love to hear from you.
