Job summary

Northern Land Council is seeking a senior specialist to lead practical reforms in the Legal Services section, coordinating across Legal Services, Land Management and Anthropology. The role focuses on clear workflows, reliable information and timely matter progression without direct staff management.

You will guide contributors, manage competing priorities and escalate risks as needed, with a strong emphasis on governance and cross-cultural communication within the NLC.

Qualifications

• Experience leading process reform or workflow improvement in a complex service environment.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary contributors and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
• Strong systems capability including matter management, workflow, records, reporting or process-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead workflow reforms and maintain clear process controls.
• Coordinate inputs, responsibilities and delivery timeframes.
• Strengthen matter tracking, records and data quality.
• Report on progress, bottlenecks and emerging risks.
• Support matter closure and agreement administration handovers.
