Job summary

Marsh in Australia is seeking a Senior Workers Compensation Placement Broker to join our dedicated team. The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney and is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office.

You will analyse client exposures, develop tailored placement strategies, negotiate with insurers and reinsurers, manage policy documentation, and support market management with data analytics and client relationships across complex multi-state arrangements.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with experience in risk exposure assessment.
Experience with workers' compensation legislation and premium models.
Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for modelling and reporting.

Responsibilities

Analyse client risk exposures and workers' compensation portfolios to recommend cost-effective placement and risk transfer strategies.
Prepare underwriting submissions, renewal proposals, quotations and placement documentation.
Support senior brokers and large employers with complex multi-state policies and contractual reviews.
Monitor market conditions, insurer appetite and pricing trends to provide placement advice.
Use data and analytics to support market management, reporting and placement decisions.
Maintain accurate account records and coordinate timely payment processing.
