Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Mine Closure and Water Rehabilitation team in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast. You will lead drainage, flooding and water resources work across Queensland and beyond, contributing to final landform design and water management for closure.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in civil/environmental engineering, with strong modelling skills and a willingness to travel to regional sites. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of civil or environmental engineering experience in consulting.
• Experience in drainage, flood and water resources.
• Desirable: mine closure and waterway rehabilitation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead surface water and flood assessments for mine sites and closure.
• Design drainage and water management infrastructure for closure.
• Contribute to creek diversions and waterway rehabilitation.
• Provide hydrology and hydraulics inputs for final landforms.
• Prepare mine closure and regulatory documentation.
• Support project management and junior engineers.
• Engage in client management and business development.
