Egis is seeking a Senior Civil / Environmental Engineer to join the Mine Closure and Water Rehabilitation team in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast. You will lead drainage, flooding and water resources work, collaborating with closure planners, geomorphologists and environmental scientists across Queensland, NSW and nationally.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in civil/environmental engineering, with expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, erosion control, and mine-closure related design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in civil or environmental engineering within consulting.
• Strong background in drainage, flooding and/or water resources.
• RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain registration in short term.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and rainfall/runoff knowledge.
• Experience designing drainage, flood mitigation, erosion and sediment control or water management infrastructure.
• Experience in mine closure, rehabilitation, natural landform design and waterway assessment is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead surface water and flood assessments for operating and closing mine sites.
• Design closure drainage and water management infrastructure.
• Contribute to creek diversion and waterway rehabilitation design.
• Develop natural landform design inputs for drainage-based final landforms.
• Prepare mine closure plans, PRCPs and water management plans.
• Collaborate with closure practitioners and supervise junior engineers.
• Procure and manage projects and support business development.
