Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Senior Water Engineer for Brisbane to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy expanding its water and wastewater capability.

You will lead the planning, design and delivery of projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development across Queensland and the wider Australian business. The role combines technical leadership with mentorship of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of water and wastewater infrastructure experience.
• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Current RPEQ registration.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater projects including treatment infrastructure.
• Strong hydraulic assessment and water infrastructure design skills.
• Experience managing projects from concept to detailed design and delivery.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prepare scopes of work, proposals and tenders.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and project management.
• Ability to mentor developing engineers.
• Business development experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Undertake hydraulic assessments and design for pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and associated infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, budgets, programmes, risks and technical deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, water authorities, councils and other key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to tenders, fee proposals and scopes of work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term growth.
• Provide technical leadership, review engineering outputs and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure and urban development projects.
• Support projects and business opportunities across the wider Australian business.
