Job summary

Amey Australia, formerly Premise, is seeking a Senior Water Engineer in Brisbane to lead water and wastewater projects from planning through delivery. You’ll manage hydraulic design, coordinate with utilities and councils, and mentor junior engineers, while growing capabilities across our local Brisbane team.

You will engage with clients to develop scopes and fee proposals, helping convert opportunities into ongoing work and strengthening long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• RPEQ
• Demonstrated water and wastewater treatment project experience.
• Strong hydraulic assessment and infrastructure design capability.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Delivering hydraulic assessments and designs for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants and related infrastructure
• Managing project scope, programme, budget, risk and technical quality
• Engaging directly with clients, utilities, councils and regulatory authorities
• Preparing proposals, scopes and fee estimates and helping convert opportunities into work
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring graduate and junior engineers.
