Job summary
Talison Lithium seeks a Principal Water Engineer to lead water management at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation. You will guide groundwater, surface water, mine water and water quality strategy, influencing planning, approvals and capital projects.
You will manage models, assess risks, engage regulators and support multi-disciplinary teams to improve water efficiency and sustainability at a world-scale operation.
Qualifications
- Experience in groundwater and integrated water management within mining or heavy industry.
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide practical advice to leadership teams.
- Strong communication and reporting skills for regulatory and project contexts.
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated water management across groundwater, surface water, mine water and operational water requirements.
- Maintain and develop site water balance, hydrogeological, hydrological and water quality models.
- Identify and manage water-related risks and opportunities from data analysis.
- Provide technical input to mine planning, tailings facilities and future projects.
- Support environmental approvals, regulatory compliance and regulator engagement.
- Manage consultants and studies to deliver water management outcomes.
- Collaborate across disciplines to improve water efficiency and sustainability.
