Job summary

Sustain Recruit is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Engineering team in Sydney on a hybrid, full-time basis.

The role focuses on Vue.js 3 and TypeScript, building large-scale, data-driven web applications, owning features end-to-end and shaping frontend architecture, performance, and standards. You’ll mentor peers and collaborate closely with Design and Backend teams to deliver secure, robust experiences.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Vue.js 3 and TypeScript.
• Experience building complex, stateful SPAs.
• Strong understanding of component architecture and state management.
• Experience with API integration and client-side storage.
• Security-focused frontend development.
• Ability to work autonomously and own technical outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build complex, interactive frontend experiences with Vue.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain a large-scale SPA.
• Design scalable component architectures and state management.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on full-stack features.
• Improve performance, reliability and user experience.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and engineering standards.
• Own significant frontend features from concept to production.
• Mentor and guide other engineers.
