Job summary

Mater Health Services seeks a Senior Digital Infrastructure Lead to design, deploy and manage core infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server and storage. You will guide on‑premises and cloud environments, with a focus on security, performance and scalable operations across the organisation.

You will mentor junior staff, drive IaC adoption, and lead infrastructure projects and governance in a non‑profit health context. The role is based in Queensland with a 12‑month max‑term contract.

Qualifications

• Extensive VMware experience including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN and NSX.
• Strong experience managing Windows Server and virtualisation in large organisations.
• Experience with ITIL principles and IT operations.
• Knowledge of Azure, hybrid cloud, IaC, automation and cloud governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of infrastructure support and resolve complex issues.
• Design, deploy and manage virtual servers and Windows environments.
• Provide specialist VMware, Azure and on‑premises/cloud infrastructure expertise.
• Contribute to hybrid infrastructure design and cloud migrations.
• Lead small-to-medium infrastructure projects and ensure service levels.
