Job summary

Vertali APAC Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing delivery team in Melbourne’s western suburbs. The role is a 6-month contract with potential extensions, blending hands-on design, build, and implementation across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage and automation.

You will work with architects, project managers and security specialists to deliver secure, resilient platforms for a large operational environment, with hybrid work typically 3 days onsite

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a senior enterprise infrastructure engineer.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience across Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and newer environments.
• Experience supporting Linux platforms including Red Hat, CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Strong VMware vSphere administration experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and enterprise identity services.
• Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Experience working within project delivery environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on project delivery to design, build, configure, test and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage, backup, identity and automation technologies.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing technology delivery team responsible for implementing and enhancing critical enterprise infrastructure platforms. This will be initially a 6-month contract, with likely extensions for the right candidate and is based in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.

• At least Australian Permanent Residence working rights,
• The requisite skills and experience defined below,
• 5-7 years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineering.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on project delivery role where you will design, build, configure, test and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage, backup, identity and automation technologies.

Working alongside architects, project managers, cyber security specialists, network engineers and vendors, you will play a key role in delivering secure, resilient and highly available technology platforms that support a large and complex operational environment.

Key Skills and Experience:

You are a technically strong Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys delivering complex enterprise technology projects and solving challenging technical problems:

• 5+ years' experience as a seniorenterprise infrastructure engineer.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience across Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and newer environments.
• Experience supporting Linux platforms including Red Hat, CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Strong VMware vSphere administration experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and enterprise identity services.
• Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Experience working within project delivery environments.
