Job summary
Norwest Christian College in Riverstone, NSW, is seeking a passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our Secondary School team from Term 1, 2027 (or Term 4, 2026 by negotiation). You will teach Visual Arts, Photographic and Digital Media, and senior creative courses within a Christ-centred learning community.
You will design engaging lessons, support students with portfolios and exhibitions, and contribute to exhibitions, excursions and enrichment opportunities while maintaining NSW Education
Qualifications
- Teaching qualifications and accreditation per NSW/NDHS standards.
- Experience delivering Visual Arts courses at secondary level.
- Ability to integrate Christian faith in teaching practice.
Responsibilities
- Teach Visual Arts across Stages 4–6, including electives and HSC classes.
- Teach Stage 5 Photographic and Digital Media and Stage 6 Preliminary Photography, Video and Digital Imaging.
- Design engaging lessons to develop technical skill, critical thinking and confidence.
- Support students with bodies of work, portfolios and exhibitions.
- Use diverse media and contemporary art practices to enrich learning.
- Contribute to exhibitions, events, excursions and enrichment activities.
