Job summary

Orica is seeking an experienced UX/UI Design Manager to lead the ODS design team and shape user-centered experiences across digital products. You will own the design system, define standards, and collaborate with Product, Technology and Business teams to align design with strategic objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record delivering complex digital solutions, and proficiency with Figma.

Qualifications

10+ years in UX/UI or digital product design with leadership experience.
Experience delivering digital solutions across complex products or platforms.
Experience with agile delivery environments and prioritisation.
Experience managing people and development planning.
Strong knowledge of interaction design, IA, prototyping and usability.
Experience establishing or maintaining design systems and standards.
Proficiency with Figma and related design tools.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop the ODS UX/UI design team through clear expectations and growth opportunities.
Build and maintain a modern ODS Design System for consistency across products.
Define and improve the UX/UI operating model, standards, tools and governance.
Right-size design maturity and process to each product's context.
Collaborate with designers, product managers and engineering on priorities and delivery.
Coordinate design capacity across multiple products with agile delivery.
Engage stakeholders and communicate design impact on product performance.
Promote user research and translate insights into decision enablers.
Improve end-user workflows for smoother, more usable experiences.
