Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior design leader in Victoria, Australia to set and lead experience strategy at scale across complex journeys and portfolios. You will translate enterprise strategy into cohesive, future-focused frameworks and provide senior craft and design leadership across UX and UI outcomes.

You will own usability, accessibility, coherence and quality of design execution, resolving complex problems and guiding guardrails.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in design or related field.
• Strong grounding in human centred digital disciplines.
• Extensive experience across UX, UI and user research within complex digital product or service environments.
• Expertise in experience strategy and end to end design.
• Ability to define, govern and evolve customer journeys across multiple touchpoints and channels.
• Strong hands-on design capability across web, responsive and mobile platforms.
• Exceptional attention to usability, accessibility, consistency and visual quality.
• Ability to integrate user research, data and insights into experience direction and design decisions.
• Experience using design systems to translate complex problems into scalable solutions.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience partnering with CX, Digital Product and Technology teams.
• Experience ideally within regulated or complex domains.
• Previous experience working with AI automation to leverage an uplift in process.

Responsibilities

• Lead experience strategy across complex journeys and portfolios.
• Translate enterprise strategy into cohesive experience frameworks.
• Provide senior craft and design leadership across UX and UI outcomes.
• Own usability, accessibility, coherence and quality of design execution.
• Resolve complex design problems and establish experience guardrails.
• Partner with CX, Digital Product, Technology and senior stakeholders on roadmaps.
• Guide tradeoffs based on customer value, risk and business impact.
• Embed and govern the Group Design System.
• Drive accessibility maturity and reusable patterns.
• Ensure consistent, scalable experiences across markets and channels.
• Use insights and performance measures to reduce experience risk.
• Uplift the Design Practice through leadership, coaching and continuous improvement.
• Deliver end-to-end UX and UI design across digital products as part of a nine-month AI project.
