Job summary

AIA is seeking a Senior Experience Designer to partner with business and technology teams to deliver Enterprise Digital objectives and the Future Fit vision. The role spans full UX/UI design across digital products and services, within a nine-month contract, leveraging automation and AI.

Based in Melbourne, you will lead experience strategy, governance and design excellence, ensuring accessibility and scalable patterns across channels.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification, or equivalent formal education, in design, psychology, business, technology or IT, with a strong grounding in human centred digital disciplines.
• Extensive experience across UX, UI and user research within complex digital product or service environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in experience strategy and end to end design across multiple touchpoints and channels.
• Strong hands on design capability across web, responsive and mobile with focus on usability and accessibility.
• Proven ability to translate user research and data into scalable design decisions using design systems.
• Experience in Agile environments, partnering with CX, Digital Product and Technology teams for omni‑channel delivery.
• Previous experience working with AI automation to uplift processes.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead experience strategy at scale, translating enterprise strategy into future-focused experience frameworks.
• Provide senior craft and design leadership, ensuring usability, accessibility, and coherence of UX and UI outcomes.
• Influence roadmaps and collaborate with CX, Digital Product, Technology to shape priorities and tradeoffs.
• Champion system thinking, design governance, and accessibility across markets and channels.
• Drive evidence-based design practice, using insights to improve customer and business outcomes.
