Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd At Sime Industrial is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Product & Digital Experience team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead end-to-end design, champion design thinking, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes across critical digital initiatives.

You will partner with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to transform complex challenges into engaging, intuitive experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience delivering UX/UI design solutions for digital products and platforms.
• Strong experience across customer experience, service design, user experience, and user interface design.
• Proven ability to conduct and apply qualitative and quantitative user research.
• Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Advanced proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma and AI-assisted design platforms.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and cross-functional product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery.
• Champion design thinking and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Design intuitive UX and UI across digital products and platforms.
• Lead discovery activities to understand customer needs and shape solutions.
• Create rapid prototypes and concepts using AI-assisted design tools.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Develop customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, and design artefacts.
• Maintain and contribute to design systems for consistency and accessibility.
