Job summary

Veris Design is seeking a senior urban design professional to lead complex masterplanning and growth area projects in Victoria and nationwide. You will work closely with clients to develop ambitious, commercially informed design solutions and strengthen Veris' market presence while mentoring a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes strong communication, hand sketching and workshop facilitation, alongside digital visualization skills to communicate ideas and drive project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in urban design, masterplanning or related consulting environments.
• Experience delivering large residential and mixed-use masterplanning projects from early strategy through to subdivision design.
• Strong expertise in Victorian planning and development processes, including PSPs and growth area planning.
• Established professional network across development, planning and government sectors.
• Proven ability to win, grow and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Strong design leadership and a passion for high-quality places and communities.
• Ability to communicate ideas through hand sketching, workshop facilitation and traditional design processes, supported by digital and visualisation capabilities.
• Interest in how data and digital tools strengthen design outcomes.

• Leading complex urban design, masterplanning and growth area projects across Victoria and nationally.
• Developing ambitious, creative, commercially informed and practical design solutions with clients.
• Strengthening Veris' urban design presence and market profile within the development industry.
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with developers, government agencies and industry stakeholders.
• Growing Veris design brand through thought leadership, industry engagement and market-facing initiatives.
• Identifying new opportunities, generating work and supporting business development across urban design and related services.
• Representing Veris in industry forums, conferences and client networks.
• Mentoring emerging urban designers and fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Collaborating with planners, surveyors and GIS specialists to deliver integrated client outcomes.
