Lindsay Australia is seeking a proactive Senior Operations Supervisor to lead our Mareeba depot team on a Monday–Friday schedule. You will oversee daily transport and dock operations, manage drivers and staff, and ensure safety and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

As a hands-on leader, you will drive performance, develop your team, and uphold high standards across operations while partnering with stakeholders to meet service requirements.

Qualifications

• Industry knowledge in transport or related field.
• Strong understanding of fast-moving transport site operations.
• Proven leadership experience in a busy team.
• Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• Experience mentoring and developing team members.
• Good communication and collaboration with drivers and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with NHVR regulations (BFM accreditation a plus).
• Commitment to safety and compliance across operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise drivers, forklift operators and dock staff.
• Oversee loading, unloading and freight movements for safety and efficiency.
• Perform competency assessments for drivers and equipment.
• Manage performance and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and WHS policies.
• Support daily operations to meet service and delivery targets.
• Coach team members and identify training needs.
