Job summary

Pinaka Technology Solutions Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Analyst to join the CIO division. You will develop threat detection content across SIEM/EDR, research and refine detection rules, and contribute to threat intelligence sharing across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Hybrid work is supported with flexible arrangements. Applicants should have five or more years in cyber security operations, experience with STRIDE/ATT&CK, and the ability to obtain Baseline security

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated capability in detecting threats across enterprise security platforms.
  • Experience building detection content that supports SIEM, SOAR and EDR.
  • Ability to translate threat models into monitoring requirements.
  • Understanding of AI security monitoring and related risks.
  • Strong background in cyber security operations and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Develop use cases based on threat models, risks and incidents.
  • Create and maintain detection rule syntax for SIEM/EDR.
  • Develop playbooks for alert validation within context.
  • Maintain threat models using STRIDE, ATT&CK and related methods.
  • Assess AI-related threats and develop corresponding content.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams on monitoring solutions.
  • Maintain threat intelligence integrations across the SOC stack.
  • Conduct research and analysis for new detection content.
  • Support incident response under guidance of the incident manager.
  • Assist onboarding of new data sources for use cases.
