Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Australia to collaborate with developers, support analysts, and business analysts to refine requirements, design and run test plans, manage defects, and report progress. The role emphasises manual testing within Capital Markets and financial services, with familiarity of FpML, SWIFT, or FIX as a plus.

Qualifications

6-12 months hands-on experience writing BDD/Cucumber feature files.
8-10 years total QA experience, with a strong focus on manual testing.
Experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets (3-5 years preferred).
Strong understanding of testing methodologies in a structured environment.
Proven experience across system, system integration, regression, end-to-end, and parallel testing.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with messaging protocols such as FpML, SWIFT, or FIX is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Review and refine requirements with developers, support analysts, and business analysts.
Develop and execute test plans.
Manage defects, track and report progress.
Escalate issues to the Test Lead when necessary.
