Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking a Quality Engineer to contribute to Engineering Plans and governance, ensuring compliance with EMS standards and AEO certification. You will guide project teams on relevant Australian and international standards and lead continual improvement across Engineering, Logistics and Cyber domains.

Role requires AGSVA security clearance and involves remote, flexible work with responsibilities spanning pre/post activity reviews and regulatory adherence.

• Review of Engineering Artefacts including all project/product level Engineering Plans to assure compliance to standards.

Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer in Canberra to contribute to Engineering Plans and oversee governance and compliance.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

Conduct reviews and analysis to assure organisational performance of the EMS to maintain AEO certification .

Review of Engineering Artefacts including all project/product level Engineering Plans to assure compliance to standards.

• Providing direction to projects/products on the relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence requirements.
• Leadership of continual improvement actions across the Engineering, Logistics and Cyber, including pre and post activity reviews.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
