Job summary

Australian Energy Regulator in Canberra requires a detail-focused Test Analyst to translate business requirements and user stories into comprehensive test conditions and coverage. You will verify data integrity, run end-to-end tests, and support release readiness in a government environment.

You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners and SMEs to ensure quality outcomes while managing multiple priorities with independence and sound judgement.

Qualifications

• Experience testing large-scale web applications, APIs and data pipelines in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies and practices including functional, integration, regression and UAT support.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, technical specs and user stories to identify test conditions, risks, dependencies and coverage gaps.
• Create and execute manual and automated tests with accurate traceable evidence.
• Support testing across the software delivery lifecycle including SIT, Regression, UAT and release readiness.
• Prepare and maintain test artefacts such as test plans, test cases and defect reports.
• Liaise with analysts, developers, product owners and stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
