Job summary

Emanate Technology is seeking a Senior Data Test Analyst to join a federal government data uplift project in Canberra. You will test data platforms, data lakes and pipelines, validate data quality and reconciliation logic, and collaborate with developers, data engineers and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

You will write SQL queries, develop automated tests in Python, and support regression, release and UAT activities across large-scale data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Software Testing, QA or Test Analysis.
• Strong experience testing data lakes, data warehouses, analytics platforms or large-scale data environments.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience validating complex datasets and transformations.
• Hands-on data lake testing, ETL/ELT testing, data reconciliation and data quality validation.
• Experience developing automated testing solutions using Python.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, test planning and defect management.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub or similar tools.
• Experience supporting or leading UAT activities.

Emanate Technology is working with a federal government organisation undertaking a major data and technology uplift and is seeking an experienced Senior Data Test Analyst to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a tester with a strong data background to work across modern data platforms, data lakes and data pipelines, helping ensure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose. You'll work closely with developers, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders in a collaborative Agile environment, playing a key role in delivering quality outcomes across large-scale data initiatives.

About the Role

• Test complex data platforms, data lakes, data products and data pipelines
