Job summary

VelTech is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to support testing for complex systems for a Commonwealth Government department. Based in the ACT or Victoria, the role is onsite with arrangements aligned to work area needs.

Candidates must hold a current TSPV security clearance and demonstrate strong test governance across integration, UAT and regression testing. You will define acceptance criteria, design test artefacts and coordinate testing of new features, defects and enhancements, while

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Test Analyst in complex delivery environments, with ISTQB or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience using test and work management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Hands-on defect lifecycle management from identification and prioritisation through re-testing and verification.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based environments, system integration, dependencies and impact of change.
• Experience designing, maintaining and executing test strategies, plans and cases, including regression testing.
• Ability to perform system integration testing and user acceptance testing for features, enhancements and defect fixes.
• Experience defining clear acceptance criteria and maintaining traceability between requirements, test scenarios and test cases.
• Ability to select and document suitable testing techniques and methodologies.
• Experience producing clear test plans, reports and metrics.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex testing information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate testing activities, set priorities and assess outcomes against business objectives.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support the delivery of complex systems and services for a Commonwealth Government department.

Working with technical teams and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will define acceptance criteria and design, coordinate and execute testing for new features, enhancements and defect fixes. The role includes system integration, user acceptance and regression testing, as well as managing defects and maintaining traceability between requirements and test outcomes.

The roles are based in the ACT or Victoria and are onsite, with arrangements determined by the assigned work area and operational needs. Candidates must hold a current TSPV security clearance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Test Analyst in complex delivery environments, supported by relevant certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience using test and work management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Hands-on experience managing defects through their full lifecycle, from identification and prioritisation through to re-testing and verification.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based environments, system integration, dependencies and downstream impacts of change.
